Most Repurchased Products

I think the testament of a good beauty product is owning multiples of it!
I was practically falling over some products I've got so many of them and thought sharing them might make for some good reccomendations.

There not in any particular order of favourites but I'm starting off with the one I have the most of.

Catrice Ultra Slimmatic Brow Pencil in Medium

I LOVE this brow pencil! This has been the only brow product I have ever used that makes me look like I've got a handle on my brows. The medium shade is a perfect match to my brow colour, and the pencil is so thin you can be really precise so you actually get the shape your drawing rather than the vague shape with clumsy smudges either side. This brow pencil costs €3.50 and you can see from the picture this one is used and repurchased a lot!

Waxperts Beautiful Body Oil

I was really lucky to be sent a sample of this when it was first released and it's become one of those can't live without products for me, I panic when it's reaching about 1/4 left in bottle and rarely leave it to chance that I would completely run out. The oil is created for after waxing but it's so much more than that. I use it as a general body moisturiser and to help me relax and sleep, I even used it to help ease morning sickness at one point. Waxperts have a new candle coming soon too very excited to see what that one is like. The oil retails at € 12.95

 Bioderma Sensibio H2o

Bioderma first landed on Irish shores about 4 years ago and since then I have been hooked on their micellar water and have religiously repurchased without straying. It cleans all of my make up away, is really gentle on my skin and I've never had any reaction or soreness from using it. It also never makes my skin feel dry. I'm a big fan of all the Bioderma products but it's easy to see why this is their bestseller. If you have never tried this do it now! Prices vary from €5.50 to €16.00.

Estée Lauder Double Wear Light

I have a ridiculous amount of foundation and loads that I repurchase often but this one is my go to day to day foundation. It does it's job well gives great coverage dosnt oxidise on me and lasts the full day. It dosnt feel heavy and I've never had any reactions from it.
It's on the pricey end of the scale but it lasts me about 3/4 months of daily Wear for € 40.00

What are your regular repurchases? Be sure to let me know so I've got a reason to buy more new stuff LOL!

This post features no samples.

All about Base : Double Wear Vs Double Wear Light

Welcome to the second post of my new series all about Base. If you haven't already take a read of last weeks post featuring BellaPierre Mineral foundation .
I have been threatening this post for so long as it's one I've searched many times myself. I am a long time user of Estée Lauder Double Wear it's my go to foundation if I want something that goes on covers everything and stays on, but I could never shake the feeling that I absolutely needed to try Double Wear Light to see what it was all about. These foundations are not exactly budget offerings and so I did search a bit before buying and so it's only right that I pass on my thoughts on them so somebody else can search for it.
This will be a different type of review from me as I totally adore double wear and always go back to it so this isn't really about if I like the product or not it's more about me showing the differences so you can make a choice between them.
I'm going to bullet point the comparisons but if anyone wants more detail feel free to ask on any of my social media (I've just joined Facebook I'll put a link at the end, let's be friends!)

  • Double Wear has glass bottle packaging while Double Wear Light is plastic squeeze tube.
  • Double Wear is full full coverage while Double Wear light is medium to full coverage.
  • Double Wear has a much larger shade range than Double Wear Light.
  • Double Wear does last longer than Double Wear Light but the light version lasts a full working day anyway.
  • Double Wear is much more fluid than the light version which is a creamier texture.
  • Double Wear can be a little drying while the light version is a lot more hydrating.
  • Double Wear gives a matt finish while the light version is dewy , I have never had to powder double Wear but definitely need a powder with light.
  • I like double Wear for a special occasion or a night out but I prefer the light version for daytime Wear as doing what it says on the tin it's lighter and more comfortable for everyday Wear.
  • Double Wear is good value for money it lasts ages for its €44 I've gotten up to a year from a bottle, double Wear Light on the other hand about €40 dosnt seem to stretch as far I use much more of the product and get only about 2.5/3 months from it, to be fair on its own for daily Wear that's not actually bad but for comparison with the original it's not wonderful.
I really like both but in conclusion it's definitely the original Double Wear that wins out for me , I'm unsure if I will ever repurchase the double Wear Light as even though it's good I have used other daytime foundations of the same quality without the €40 price tag. Use your money instead to buy the original Double Wear you won't be disappointed and I'd be surprised if you weren't converted after using it!

Face in Products Part 4.........

Today is day 4 of my series of face of the day in products, today is a weekday so I'm keeping things natural(ish) in the make up dept.
As is customary with these posts I will include my before and after selfie at the end!

First up is cover up, today I'm using Benefit Erase Paste, I've never actually used this before but it was just lying around in my parents house so i'll give that a go.
I used this pretty sparingly first of all because it was my first time I wasn't sure what It could do and second because I was following it with Double wear which dosn't require much covering up beforehand. I used it on my eyes, liked the product and did what it was meant to. I will definitely be testing this in more detail when I can get my hands on it again ;)

For my base I used Estee Lauder Double Wear the shade I wear is tawny and I'm about a mac nc20-25 (for comparison). This is my go to foundation right now for a night out/ special occasion or a really bad cover everything up face day! I love this most of the time but find it slightly heavy in the summer, there is a double wear light and the reviews are good I just haven't trialed it yet. I use a stipple brush to apply and as my skin is slightly dry I don't need a powder to set it.

Next I'll go to my cheeks I've used Soap & Glory peach party blush in shade Apricot Jam.
This is a shimmer brick type blush and gives a lovely healthy glow on cheeks, perfect for a natural look.

For my eyebrows I used a Collection eyebrow pencil/crayon in Blonde and just did a simple fill in on my brows. This has been covered in some of my previous face in products posts so I wont go into It again here.

Next up my eye shadow, isn't it beautiful! you are looking at  Urban Decay The Feminine Palette. The palette has six colors and a lip gloss all in a cute case that zips up with a little mirror inside :) For this look I used shades Skimp and Bordello.

To complete my eye look I used Mac Plush Lash now anyone who has read any of my posts will know I'm a they're Real fan and I'm not saying that this will replace It but this mascara gives a lovely long full lash while keeping the look much softer and natural looking than the other mascara can manage.

My final addition was Clinique Chubby Stick in shade Oversized Orange.
Orange is everywhere now and I'm really liking It, this gives you the look without committing as much as you would with a lipstick so again keeps it all on the natural theme I'm going along!

Hope you enjoyed the post, the next one face in products 5, is my last in this series but I have already started on an even more exciting one that I hope you will all love.
